ProximityPulse ("the App") is designed with privacy as its core principle. This policy explains how we handle your information.
All messages are transmitted directly between devices using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct. There are no messaging servers. Your conversations are never stored, routed through, or accessible by any external server. No one — including us — can read your messages.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
This data never leaves your device except through the direct Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct connection to a nearby peer during active conversations.
Messages are automatically deleted based on your configured Time-To-Live (TTL) setting. You can choose intervals from 1 minute to 24 hours, or keep messages indefinitely. When the TTL expires, messages are permanently deleted from your device.
ProximityPulse uses Firebase Analytics by Google to collect anonymous usage data. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve the experience. The data collected includes:
This data is anonymous and aggregated. We never collect message content, display names, emoji avatars, or any information that could identify you or the people you chat with. Firebase Analytics does not use this data for advertising.
The App uses Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi networking solely for the purpose of discovering nearby users and exchanging messages directly between devices. No message data is transmitted over the internet. No location data is collected or shared.
The App does not require or support user accounts, logins, email addresses, phone numbers, or any form of personal identification. You choose a display name and emoji — that's all.
ProximityPulse does not display ads, does not use advertising SDKs, and does not share any data with advertisers.
ProximityPulse is rated 17+ and is not intended for children. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 17.
